The Fährhaus Bridge connects the streets Winterhuder Kai and Tewessteg to the left and right of the Alster for pedestrians and cyclists. It is named after the nearby "Winterhuder Fährhaus", which has been standing on the Winterhuder bank of the Alster since 1988, the third building of this name. The building, which was originally built in 1854, was never actually officially used as a ferry house. Owner Carl Friedrich Jacobs only allowed passengers who were waiting for an Alster steamer to take shelter with him in bad weather.

The Fährhausbrücke is a pedestrian bridge and is located behind the comedy Winterhuder Fährhaus as a transition to the Haynspark.
From here you can see the course of the Alster.
At the beginning of October last year I undertook my first "bridge hike" and on this occasion also discovered this ferry bridge.

Hiking

To get to the Fährhaus Bridge, take Hudtwalckerstrasse, past the building of the Winterhuder Fährhaus comedy on the left. The Fährhaus Bridge takes pedestrians and cyclists across the Alster to the western side of the Alster and into the pretty Eppendorf Haynspark with a small playground and paddling pool as well as a boat rental.
