In 1865 a stone measurement point of the first order of the Central European degree measurement (Nagelsche column) was set up on the Gohlig. The Nagelsche column was made on site from sandstone and is about four meters high. Between 2001 and 2006 it was restored by the Saxon Heritage Protection Association, Regional Group Goldene Höhe.
