Hiking

The Blue Bridge in Mülheim an der Ruhr, also affectionately known as the Styrum Bridge, is like a blue ribbon connecting the districts of Styrum and Broich. Originally a railway bridge, it has now been transformed into a pleasant pedestrian and cycle path bridge located on the nature trail.

Hiking

"The city garden culture is boundlessly and harmoniously connected with the open landscape of the Styrum (left) Ruhr river; the Broicher Damm and the adjoining Styrum bridge carry us, after a short acoustic thunderstorm along the B223 mountain road, across to the quiet Styrum (right) Ruhr river; further to the imposing tower of the Aquarius Water Museum, in the sight of which we enjoy our sixth and last break in the lonely but unfortunately rubbish-filled Styrum castle park, in the light of the late afternoon sun."
