Museum Hertogsgemaal lets you go back in time with finds from today back to the ice age. The museum has a unique number of finds that were made in the Meuse valley between 's-Hertogenbosch and Lith. Especially the beautiful finds from Roman and Celtic times are a feast for the eyes. There are also finds from the Temple of Empel, a Celtic/Roman sanctuary in Empel. The latest expansion concerns a small war museum with various finds from Empel/Gewande and the surrounding region.

The Hertogsgemaal Archaeological and Paleontological Museum in the North Brabant village of Gewande aan de Maas, northeast of 's-Hertogenbosch, is a museum that exhibits finds from the region and from gravel and sand extraction holes along the river Maas.
The museum is located in the Hertogsgemaal, which functioned from 1940-1979 as an electrical pumping station for draining the low-lying Maaspolders and was classified as a national monument in 2002. The museum has existed since 1989 and is managed by the Museum Hertogsgemaal Foundation.
