When we are out and about on the footbridges of the Brackvenn, we often come across the forest lizard here in sunny weather. She likes to sunbathe on the Eichstegen.

The forest lizard (Zootoca vivipara) belongs to the real lizards, the Lacertidae family. With a maximum total length of 18 cm, the forest lizard is our smallest native species. The tail takes up almost two thirds of this.
