Hiking
The construction of a water backwater follows the following objectives:
1/ Flooding of the dominant moor grass to allow the evolving vegetation to reestablish and sprout;
2/ Slowing down the flow of water and reducing erosion on the existing raised bog area of the "Misten", one of the largest active raised bog areas in Belgium.
