The African Trading Port offers a wide range of some of the finest examples of African art. Artworks from many different African countries and cultures are on display here. Since 2001, ATP has been located at its current location in the Old Port Captain's Building on the Cape Town Waterfront. Over the past decades, much time has been devoted to collecting art from successive generations of African artists. There is a wide variety of art objects, including sculptures, artifacts, ceramics, pottery, bronze, and glassware. While the collection focuses on the work of recognized artists, it also hosts exhibitions of some of the younger, emerging artists from the African continent. A shipping service is also available.
