The station of Walporzheim is located directly on the Landstarße, but can only be reached through the village. Especially at the wine festivals in September / October, the Ahrtalbahn is the ideal means of transport to get to Walporzheim.

The Walporzheim station building, which is now used as a residential building, has a special architectural position along the Ahr Valley Railway, because as an elongated, single-storey half-timbered building with a hipped roof, it looks very different from its siblings. This can be explained by the fact that the route of the Ahr Valley Railway was changed in this section at the beginning of the 20th century, so that the old train station, located further east in the town center, was abandoned and this building was built on the new route from 1911.
