This trail can also be divided into 3 sections. In the first part there are 2 very nicely built residents right at the entrance, followed by a few jumps with different levels of difficulty, which can all be bypassed (S2). In the 2nd section it gets steeper and more technical, a few small drops and 2 steep descents provide the necessary spice (S2 +). The last section goes to the parking lot and is the least demanding in itself, it is very flowy and you can pace well here (S1).

Two very nice trails, respect to the builders.
As some have already described here, the difficulty is S2 with an S3 key point. You reach this at the end of the right descent if you turn left again towards the bomb craters. Unfortunately, the trail is no longer accessible down to the parking lot in Walporzheim because the flood in the Ahr Valley (07-2021) washed everything away.
Another result of the flood is the fact that the two descents "Katzley left & right" have been officially closed (from approx. 07-2023). This means that it is currently no longer possible to connect one of the two old hiking trails to the built trail as a finale. :(
Volker's comment here in the comments that the descent is S4-5 is of course nonsense. A full suspension bike is also not necessary, although it is helpful.
In my opinion, the trail is not suitable for MTB beginners.
You should have solid bike control before you try it for the first time, and ideally you should also have had a year or two of downhill-oriented mountain biking.

Very nice trail (S2 - S3) departure with residents, jumps and other surprises 😉👍🏻.
