Chapel was commissioned by the Baussens family at the end of the 19th - beginning of the 20th century.
According to tradition, a certain Baussens worked as a stone pooler in the nearby Jodenwell. One day it seemed as if he heard his wife calling. Seeing nothing, he just continued working. When he heard the call a second time, he went to have a look. He had barely left the quarry when the well collapsed.
Out of gratitude he had this chapel built.

You used to find hop fields behind the chapel, surrounded by forests. In the spring you will find beautiful wood anemones and wild hyacinths in the remaining deciduous forests.
