In 1908, the Association for the Elevation of Tourism in Gerlingen created a memorial stone with a marble relief of the poet near the former fruit tree school Johann Caspar Schillers, created by Gottfried Ludmann.
In 1953, a bronze relief by Prof. von Graevenitz was placed on the back of the Schillerstein. This relief shows Friedrich Schiller at the first reading of his “Robbers” to friends in the Stuttgart Bopserwald, based on the well-known drawing by Schiller's classmate Victor Heideloff.
