When planning, I was only slightly enthusiastic about the fact that due to the (lack of) campsites, I would only be able to cycle a comparatively short stage today. Well, and rarely have I been SO glad at the end that the route wasn't longer today. 🙈 The heat had literally pulled the plug... 🤪 Up to

Onwards, on the second day of my summer tour from "Minga" to the Golden City. For a good 30 km, it initially led me through the Hallertau, Germany's hop paradise (accordingly, "the panorama" was shaped... hop gardens again and again! Wonderful!) along the Abens on a wonderful, surprisingly "green" route

MUC-Prag #1 😎 Von "Minga" nach Mainburg/Hallertau 🚴🏻♀️

First day of my tour into the Golden City, to Prague, starting from Munich. The first half of today's route ran along the Isar cycle path as far as shortly after Freising. I already knew this section from previous tours and therefore knew that there is "not much to see" there (apart from the Isar on

After being at Solitude Castle yesterday, I didn't want to neglect "my second castle", the one in Dätzingen, and check on things there too (everything's ok - as always! Hahaha 😆) Nooo... the actual (real!) reason for getting back on the bike again today was that @Sv𝕖𝐧 🚲🇺🇦 had pointed out to me

After a few days' break from cycling, "called off" by the killer heat of the last few days, I went on a little "Welcome back home" ride today. Due to the heavy rain (or rather, storm 😲!) of the previous evening, the temperatures were really(!) pleasant for cycling again today, and I wanted to quickly

It couldn't have been a better conclusion to our stay in the Bavarian and Austrian mountains 😍 I "used to" know Walchensee only in connection with Herzogstand and Heimgarten (hiking 🥾), but it is also excellently suited as a cycling destination 😉 Through the Jachenau, the way there from Lenggries

It has been more than 30 years since I was last on the Aueralm near Bad Wiessee on Lake Tegern. That was supposed to be my goal today, because I had "in my head" that one could admire Lake Tegern from the alm (which turned out not to be the case 🙈). So, from the Lenggries side, it first went steeply

Even though the numbers (distance and altitude gain) sound spectacular at first glance, the tour around the Wetterstein mountains wasn't really challenging, thanks to the ascent with the Ehrwalder Almbahn to 1,500m above sea level, which saved us 400m of climbing. Like so many Tyrolean mountain railways

Today it was supposed to go up the Penken (2,095 m above sea level), because "up there" a much-advertised "Penken Panorama Tour" awaited me. 🤩

The height of summer takes a break. It rained heavily all night until the midday hours, and I already thought this would be a day without cycling. When the sky surprisingly cleared up, I quickly jumped on my MTB (yuck), wanting to head to the Grüne Wand Hütte in Stilluptal. Unfortunately, I was held

I wanted "more extensive" mountain stages here in the Kitzbühel Alps, and I got such a tour! 😍 Away from the usual cycle paths, deviating from the Glemmtalradweg, it went up into the mountains behind Maishofen! ↗️↗️ On washed-out, partly badly blocked, difficult-to-ride paths, which cost a lot of energy

Arrived in the heart of the Bavarian Forest! It became quieter and quieter on the route, the area more and more deserted, as I felt. Until behind Cham, my route followed the Regental cycle path, which in my opinion is a real discovery - it doesn't deserve to be "largely unknown", just like the Chambtal
