This wooden construction was built in the 13th century and was destroyed by a storm in 1606. Its reconstruction between 1610 and 1611 is characterized by a mixture of styles: some pointed arches on the ground floor refer to the Gothic style, while the first floor features elements of the Renaissance style and the gables are Baroque. The arcaded courtyard, built in 1616, is an imitation of the Italian courtyards.

This is where the cloth merchants settled. After the collapse in 1881, the building was completely rebuilt and for a time it served as a city museum. In 1940, however, it was not spared from the incendiary bombs. Once again the Cloth Hall had to be restored. Finally, as part of urban renovation works, the front facade was renewed in 1998. Today this building is used as a meeting place and event hall. Next to the building is the very nice caretaker's house.

The construction of the very first hall dates back to the 13th century. Built in wood, she was blown away by a storm. Four years later, it was rebuilt (1610-1611) in a mixture of styles: Renaissance on the 1st floor, Baroque gables, a frontispiece with Ionic columns,... The facade of this magnificent building was restored during the construction of the new Grand -Place, inaugurated in 1998.

Mainly to be seen from the outside. During certain events, the inside can be visited (eg Halle Gourmande, Christmas market,...).
