The Reinoldikirche subway station is an underground light rail station of the Dortmund Stadtbahn in downtown Dortmund. It is one of three crossing stations in the light rail system, where main routes II and III intersect. The other two crossing stations are Kampstraße and Stadtgarten. Its 49 meter high pylon, visible from afar, is considered a landmark in Dortmund.

Two staircases lead from Willy-Brandt-Platz and Kuckelke to the distribution level. The main entrance is located under the Reinoldipylon designed by Stefan Polónyi,[2] to which a glass tent roof is attached, which served as weather protection for the former tram stop. The former tram stop was designed as a central platform with access to the subway station, which is why its tracks pass on the north and south sides. In addition to two elevators that reach the lowest platform level, a spiral staircase leads down to the platform of the East-West line.

In addition to information boards and ticket machines, there are small shops on the distribution level. Until October 2013 there was also a DSW21 customer center.[3] Further staircases provide direct access to all the platforms below.

On the next level is the central platform of the east-west line, which has only been in operation since April 2008. Up to two N or Bombardier Flexity Classic light rail cars in each direction can stop here. The side platforms for lines U42 and U46 are located on the level below. There is space for up to three Type B light rail vehicles per platform.

Interesting steel/glass construction - the main pillar is illuminated at night.

Another clear example of modern architecture in the heart of Dortmund, with an entrance to the metro stop in the basement of the square.
