Slight Side is a 2,500-foot (762 m) mountain in the Lake District National Park. This Wainwright fell has fun little rock tors to scramble, it sits in the looming shadow of the magnificent Scafells, it has excellent views to Burnmoor Tarn, and the surrounding Eskdale fells/Wasdale fells and great views to the coast on a clear day.

I am reading Adventure Nic's entry with envy. Why? Just look at my photos. Saw absolutely nothing and too wet to mess about scrambling. Will have to return.

Little more than a bump on Scafell’s south ridge, Slight Side will always hold pride of place, it being my final Wainwright first time round. The summit is a nice little rocky rise on the otherwise grassy ridge, but it gives superb views of upper Eskdale and of the southern flanks of the Scafells.
