Best Hiking Routes to Snake Path and Black Ashop Moor Waterfalls

Tips

  • Good path following the Ashop onto the back of Kinder from the Snake Pass Inn on the A57. Great views of the edge of the plateau from the start and has a hidden valley feel to it from about half way. Greeted with stunning views of the Kinder reservoir and Manchester once over the top

  • Definitely not as frequented as some of the other paths in this area, this path is boggy and wet underfoot in places. It gives you a great view of the spectacular northern edge of Kinder Scout however.
