Location: Oberwesel, Rhein-Hunsrück-Kreis, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany
Below Henschhausen, on the edge of the Middle Rhine Valley, next to the "Rhein" pit, there is a vantage point with a lounger and picnic bench. From here, the path leads downwards via serpentines to the Kaub ferry, in order to be able to switch from the Rheinburgenweg to the Rheinsteig.
You can see Pfalzgrafenstein Castle on the Rhine island of Falkenau and the town of Kaub on the other side of the Rhine. You also have some insight into the "Rhein" pit with some old buildings.
