The Battle of the Nations near Leipzig ended on October 19, 1813. But there were subsequent skirmishes even after that. The Russian lieutenant general Sergey Nikolaevich Lanskoi mentioned here survived, but died on March 7, 1814 in the Battle of Craonne in Picardy.
