The cemetery of the community of Alt Rosenthal is also located on the grounds of the church. In addition to a war cemetery for those who died in World War II, the well-known writer, screenwriter and dramaturge Ulrich Plenzdorf (1934 - 2007) is also buried here. He lived in a country house in Alt Rosenthal-Vorwerk for part of the year until his death.
