The Schurkengraben is the outflow of the Wermelinsee and like this part of the Platkower Mühlenfließ. The typical Ice Age gully has dug a deep valley. Similarities with the Schlaubtal or the Trepliner Fließ are obvious. The hiking trail, which is easy to walk, offers many great views of the river and the vegetation typical of the river. This is a very relaxing section, especially in the summer heat.
An alternative is the eastern path that also leads to Alt Rosenthal and also gives great insights.

The rogue ditch is a total jungle. Bieber or nutria do a great job here. It is absolutely worth seeing how nature takes back what belongs to her.
