What their Grüner Heiner in Weilimdorf is to the Stuttgarters, their Gerlinger head is to the Gerlingers. Both are replenishment mountains. The Gerlinger Kopf was created from 1961 to 1972 as a garbage dump in a deep blade. Twice as much earth was poured into 600,000 cubic meters of garbage, the summit is 502 meters above sea level - Gerlingen's second highest point. The filling is a total of 75 meters high, its footprint as large as 15 football fields.
