The transition from Brentenjoch to Roßberg is extremely demanding and only recommended for experienced mountaineers.
Follow the path along the ridge from the Brentenjoch until you come to an approx. 10 meter high, vertical rock break. At first glance it doesn't go on here. If you keep to the right and descend a few meters through the rugged terrain, you can soon see a narrow strip of grass that leads you back to the ridge in the direction of Roßberg. In order to get to the grass band, an approximately two meter high rock ledge, fairly exposed, but well graded, has to be climbed. The onward journey is then much easier again.

Attention: There is no direct descent from the Roßberg or the ridge. The paths marked on some maps no longer exist. Presumably, these paths were trails that were previously used by hunters.
The only way to descend from the Roßberg is to return to the Brentenjoch.

I would recommend the north path uphill rather than downhill as it is quite steep and many steps / rock steps are covered with sand and gravel, which does not necessarily make it easier.
