Impressive panoramic views over Lake Halden and the Tannheimer Valley, including the imposing Gimpelwand. After crossing the cirque between Gimpel and Rot Flüh, the rocky but well-secured climb to the summit begins. Here, you can watch the chamois and their climbing skills, as well as the climbers attempting the Gimpelwand.

Starting point is the hiking car park between Haller and Nesselwängle (fee applies).
Refreshments are available on the ascent and descent at the Gimpelhaus (gimpelhaus.at). The Gimpelhaus also offers overnight accommodation (open during the summer months).

Hiking

Ascending to the Gimpelhaus is very steep but from then on to the summit to walk up to the last piece of rope is insured. At the summit great view over the Tannheimer valley out to the valley. Extra tip for climbers Gimpel, Rote Flüh and Köllenspitze are the purest climbing paradise
