10/22 The level crossing is still closed due to flood damage. It is best at the crossroads, where you turn left down to the level crossing, then turn right and follow the signs for Eifelschleife Satzvey Castle. Turn left at the top of the road and take the next dead end left and keep going straight, there is a beautiful narrow path that leads back to Katzvey.

Like in a railway museum! I thought that after pressing the lever, a mechanism would be activated that lifts the barrier. But far from it! A railway employee actually answers (probably from the train station in Satzvey) and asks in a friendly manner how he can help. When I asked to open the gate, it was lifted as if by magic. It's great that something like this still exists in our high-tech times!
