"Lockwitz Castle is a representative Renaissance castle in the south of Dresden in the Lockwitz district. It once belonged to the associated Lockwitz Manor. Today's castle was built in 1621 by the then manor owner Johann Georg von Osterhausen and from 1866, after the purchase of the castle and manor by the noble family von Kap-herr, fundamentally rebuilt and expanded.

The castle is not public and was converted between 2008 and 2010 into a residential complex with condominiums and single-family houses in the adjacent 42,000 square meter castle park." - stadtwikidd.de/wiki/Schloss_Lockwitz

The Lockwitz Evangelical Lutheran Church is directly connected to the castle.

"In 1622 the old castle chapel was rediscovered by the Lockwitz manor owner and Electoral Saxon court marshal Johann Georg von Osterhausen († 1627) during the reconstruction of Lockwitz Castle. He converted it into a Protestant church at his own expense." - stadtwikidd.de/wiki/Schlosskirche_Lockwitz

Thirty years ago, I completed part of my theoretical training here. The "ensemble" was used as a boarding school and training center for the State Surveying Office of Saxony.

It's wonderful to see how well the entire property has been renovated for residential use in the park and how it's been received.
