Albrecht Daniel Thaer came to Möglin in 1804 as Prussian Councilor and died here in 1828 as one of the most important personalities in German agricultural science. At the estate he demonstrated his views on rational agriculture.
Founded by him in 1806 Agricultural College, from 1819 Royal Academy, was continued by son and grandson until 1861. There are 773 graduates proven. The historic Thaerhof is now privatized and is therefore the public only to a limited extent.
