Sometimes it's the inconspicuous connections that leave a deep impression. The narrow causeway between Stobber and Kietzer See near Altfriedland is such a path: little more than a green fringe through the watery realm, flanked by river, lake, and sky. To the right, the gently murmuring ribbon of the Stobber, to the left, the glittering eye of Kietzer See – and in between: you.The wind blows through the reeds, dragonflies dance over the water, and if you're lucky, you might spot an osprey peering for prey from aloft. Old trees lean over the path like sentinels, as if to say: "Go on – but don't forget to marvel."A green awakening in spring, a quiet dream in summer, a golden mirror in autumn. Cycling along here won't be fast, but it will be rich – in impressions, silence, and the feeling that time simply stands still for a moment.A place for all those seeking the bigger picture in small ways. And for all those who don't want to rush, but rather glide – on two wheels, with an open mind.
