We leave the old town and now head towards the watchtower. We turn behind the old gas station. After a short stretch we reach the forest, now it's uphill. We walk up the path high into the trees, covered in ivy up to the crown, now some sun is shining through. We reach the tower, but it is not accessible. With a height of 15 m, Fontane described it as "not unlike a factory chimney".
The tower was probably built in the 14th century. We go back again, the forest is beautiful now around us and the sun makes the path special.
