Hudec is a Slovak-Hungarian architect that had a massive influence on the architecural style of Shanghai. He has designed and built in excess of 60 buildings, many of them Art Deco masterpieces, during his period in Shanghai from 1918 to 1945. This memorial near the corner of Panyu Road and Pingwu Road is a house he and his family lived for a couple of years.

The house is an English country style building, built in 1931. Hudec lived here from 1932 to 1938. It is accessible through the gate at the road, set behind another building facing the road. Not sure, but as of Jan 2024 the building does not appear to be accessible to visitors
