Not too special park - the layout around the lake is ok and there is a restaurant with good looking atmosphere there.

The People's Park (Renmin Gongyuan 人民公园) takes up the northern half of People's Square and offers places to rest, play cards or chess or Mahjong, have picnic, stroll through the park or watch the people around the Lotus Pond.
It stretches from Xizang Road (this highlight) across to Huangpi Road in the west and Nanjing Road in the north. Personally I find the western end of the park more appealing with its lotus pond and the former Race Club building.
