The Holy Trinity Church is boxed in between Jiujiang Road, Jiangxi Middle Road and Hankou Road and has been consecrated in 1869 as an Anglican Church. It was designed in a gothic revival style by British architect Sir George Gilbert Scott. A boys school was attached later in 1928.
During the cultural revolution the spire was destroyed. The church was confiscated and converted to a cinema. It has been recently restored, but as far as I could tell (Dec 2022) it has not yet been re-opened for worship.
