With many small cobblestone sections - therefore only conditionally recommended for racing cyclists. On the other hand, car-free and safe to compare to the busy rural roads in the area.

The paving stones are still driveways to the fields, so that the farmers with their tractors do not disintegrate the asphalt when you turn the curve.

The cobblestone sections are actually only around Eschdorf to find and maybe 15 to 20 meters long. The embankment is an integral part of my house round and in my view, also for the road bike unreservedly recommended because the embankment opposite the road is unbeatable. It is unclear to me, however, why these cobblestones must be.

In fact a great track, but the regular paving annoying on the road bike.

Great route. Cobblestone sections are approximately 10-20m long. Annoying for racing cyclists.

Every few hundred meters in the Eschdorf area, the impeccably laid out bike path is disturbed by sections with quite brutal cobblestones. The path must therefore be viewed critically, especially with a view to security. You don't want to have to drive an off-road vehicle on the autobahn because the surface has been designed inappropriately. Conclusion: If you are traveling reasonably quickly, the good, albeit heavily trafficked, road through Eschdorf is undoubtedly the more pleasant option in my opinion.

Only around Schullwitz and Eschdorf are these annoying cobblestones to be found. It is best to drive very slowly or very quickly there, otherwise the vibrations are very unpleasant. At the weekend and after work, there are sometimes many people with dogs on the first section from Weißig-Eschdorf, which are rarely on a leash. That often spoils the descent. A bell can't hurt here.Increasingly, I avoid the piece, and drive shake and stress-free on the road with little traffic.

Good surface. Nice environment. Unfortunately the level crossings are paved but you can get there quickly. Popular with others too!

Cycle route on an old railway embankment. Nice asphalt, cobblestone passages interspersed from time to time, but also no problem for racing bikes.
