Road Cycling Highlight (Segment)
Significantly quieter alternative to the main road from the Elbe valley to the Schönfeld highlands. Shorter than the main road for steeper and therefore more challenging. But with little traffic and it runs in a beautiful, narrow valley. Clearly two-digit percentages right at the beginning on cobblestones and again at the end.

Although a relatively demanding slope, but still visually very attractive.

One of the most beautiful paths from the Elbe to the Schönfeld-Weißiger Hochland. A ride to enjoy through a shady cool forest. Especially nice in the summer on the weekend early at 6 o'clock before breakfast as a round of Pirna to get bread.

Peak rise out of Dresden. Especially in summer it is nice and shady and the better alternative to the Grundstrasse as there is hardly any car traffic on the way. At the end you will be rewarded with a wonderful view over the highlands.

Nice leisurely climb through the ground. Very idyllic. Due to the reason it is pleasantly tempered.

Beautiful and v. A. quiet (on a SO almost car-free) ascent from the Elbe Valley. The beginning is a bit steeper than the rest of the course. To make matters worse, that the first 400 m are extended and wavy pavement. Only in the reason itself comes good asphalt, but then it can be scramble well.

Good surface. Little traffic. Nice forest. Pleasant slope. What more do you want?

Very crisp climb, not too long, and it's like driving through a narrow, dark canyon

A very nice alternative to the main road, especially since it is not very busy and runs through the forest in a nice shade.

I find it difficult to find the right rhythm from below. After the cobblestone passage (first two curves) it is really nice and you can feel your current fitness level towards the end ;-)

Downhill not recommended, as there are bumps in the upper section (felt almost like the speed bumps in 30s zones) that are hard to see in the shadows. With two-digit percent on the downhill, this is quite dangerous, because you can reach a fairly high speed.
