Sct. Laurentius Church is in the city center. The church is a three-aisled nave that is grouped under a huge roof. The church was probably built in 1476.
The church underwent drastic changes in the 17th century where vaults were added.

St. Lawrence's Church is located in the middle of Kerteminde's market square.
The nave of the three-aisled church is located under a massive roof structure. According to records, the church was built in 1476.
Major structural changes were made in the 17th century – the church received a vault
and the interior was renovated. On the south side of the choir is the burial chapel
of the Iuel family, and on the opposite wall is a plaque commemorating
two of the church's pastors. A pair of knight's boots and a sword from the time of the Swedish War
are on display.
