The nave of the three-aisled church is located under a massive roof structure. According to records, the church was built in 1476.
Major structural changes were made in the 17th century – the church received a vault
and the interior was renovated. On the south side of the choir is the burial chapel
of the Iuel family; on the opposite wall is a plaque commemorating
two of the church's pastors. A pair of knight's boots and a sword from the time of the Swedish War
are on display.
