The Ladby Viking Museum (Wikingermuseum Ladby) is a special place near Kerteminde: It houses Denmark's only preserved Viking ship burial – dated to around the year 925. In the burial mound, you can marvel at impressive grave goods and experience the atmosphere of this historical find. Particularly fascinating is the functional replica of the Ladby ship, located right on the fjord. It gives you a vivid picture of what a royal Viking ship might have looked like and how it might have functioned. When traveling on foot, you should note that in Denmark many paths lead through private property and you should keep a distance of 150m from the properties.
You cannot take a dog into the museum itself, you should consider this for your activity. Unfortunately, my dog cannot wait 1.5 hours in front of the entrance. Next time I will drive there by car.
