Muusgården was built in the 1820s and served as a merchant's house until the mid-1970s. Skænkestuen (the barroom), part of the farm, was established in 1829 and is a cozy oasis for thirsty drinkers.

Muusgården is named after its former owner, the grocer Elias B. Muus. Originally the listed complex was a large farm in the center of Kerteminde.
