The Appenzell people have always been a jolly bunch. So it's not surprising that the Appenzell joke is on the list of "living traditions in Switzerland" and is therefore a UNESCO cultural heritage. No eye stays dry on the Joke Trail from Heiden via Wolfhalden to Walzenhausen. The path of around 8 km (one way) with around 40 joke stations trains the calves and laughing muscles at the same time.
