Restaurant St Anton, Oberegg
If you stop by the farmhouse parlor of the St. Anton restaurant today, you might be surprised at the bullet hole in the ceiling, which is marked with the year 1798. The house was only completed in 2008. In its place was one of the oldest Oberegger houses, the Rössli, built in 1605. Parts of the farmhouse parlor were removed from the Rössli before demolition in order to find a place again in the new St. Anton restaurant. These included, among other things, the slug window and the bullet hole along with the commemorative plaque.

A good opportunity to stop for a while and enjoy the view! The food was good, but that's why you do not necessarily stop here. But the sympathetic service with the sweet Appenzeller dialect, the cozy atmosphere and the view makes everything good again.Simply the rather high prices at the Swiss border are catching on a bit.
