There is a tennis club on the Polderdamm in Fussach. A young couple runs a small restaurant there, the Kostbar. Highly recommended and right on the bike path.

The Rheindelta nature reserve in Vorarlberg (Austria) is the largest wetland area on Lake Constance.

It extends from the mouth of the old Rhine on the Swiss border via the mouth of the new Rhine to the Dornbirner Ach in Hard. As a result, the Rheindelta nature reserve is located in the municipal areas of Höchst, Fußach, Gaißau and Hard and has an area of approx. 2,000 hectares, of which 2/3 is water and only 1/3 is land.

Due to its special flora and fauna, the Rhine delta was placed under protection by decree in 1976 and since then valuable sub-areas have been added.

The Rhine delta of Lake Constance is the river delta on the south-eastern shore of Lake Constance, which the Rhine formed in a former lake area. It lies mostly in the Austrian state of Vorarlberg, with smaller areas lying in the Swiss canton of St. Gallen. The two peninsulas in the lake are called Rheinspitz (to the west) and Rohrspitz (to the east).

After the retreat of the Rhine glacier after the last glacial period, Lake Constance was formed, which originally extended further south in the area of the Rhine valley. At the same time, the formation of the delta began at the confluence of the Alpine Rhine. This process continues to this day and is part of a process that would end in several thousand years when Lake Constance would completely silt up.
