The "Liebesgrund", which runs along below the Schützenallee and the Kehrwiederwall/Hoher Wall, was one of the ramparts built in the 15th century to protect the city, most of which are still intact today.

The waters were formerly called "Schneidlerscher Graben", now it is the Seniorengraben. An unsuccessful name ...... In my childhood, he was often frozen and he was used for skating. Like the Calenberger ditch too.

Popular route below the Hildesheim ramparts. Nice entry for walks towards Hohnsensee. Due to the many trees and channel structure, it is nice and cool here even on hot days.
