St. Michael in Hildesheim, also known as St. Michael's Church, is an Ottonian, pre-Romanesque church. It was until the Reformation, the abbey church of the eponymous Benedictine abbey. Since 1985, together with the Hildesheim Cathedral, it has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On 2 January 2010, a jubilee stamp (2.20 EUR) with the motif of St. Michael appeared. Since 7 February 2014 is a German 2-euro commemorative coin in circulation, whose back shows the church.Source: wikipedia
