The stone fountain ring that is still preserved here was once the reservoir for the various tributaries of the Bachemer Bach. Until 1914 it was about 570 m west of here (behind the Feldhof). About 100 liters of water flowed into this basin every minute around 1900, which then flowed eastwards as the Bachemer Bach and was used, among other things, for the water supply. The spring water of the Pütz has always been considered to have healing powers; especially for eye ailments and skin rashes. This healing power was attributed to St. Wimmarus (+774) to.
