Türnich Castle is currently being extensively renovated, but the detour from the Erftradweg is still worthwhile. Most of the time there are many guests sitting in the enchanted café or on the terrace, but it is worth it because of the beautiful herb garden, where almost all local herbs can be admired.
Tip: When the gardener is there, he tells one or two anecdotes about this garden. Highly recommended.

The history of the castle can be traced back to 898. Baron Carl Ludwig von Rolshausen had the current form of the late Baroque manor built in the mid-18th century. The design was probably made by the Cologne court architect Michael Leveilly.

Türnich Castle is the only fully preserved baroque castle in the Rhineland. Manor house and castle chapel can be explored like the castle park.
Organic delicacies are offered in the adjoining cafe.
