The water tower was built in 1912 by the Max Schwenke company (Dresden-Neustadt) with a height of 42 meters and intended to supply the town with drinking water.
Visible from afar, it became the symbol of Siebenlehn. With the connection of the village to the Lichtenberg - Nossen long-distance water line and the construction of an elevated reservoir in Obergruna, the use of water from the Siebenlehn headwaters became superfluous.
In 1993 the water tower was shut down. Interested parties were found for the preservation of the landmark and the "Förderverein Wasserturm Siebenlehn e.V." founded.

Whether from the A4 motorway or the B 101, the Siebenlehn water tower greets its guests from afar as a striking landmark of the town.

Built in 1912, it supplied Siebenlehn with fresh drinking water for years.
With a height of 42 metres, it rises majestically above the town.
