The abbey served as the administrative center of the monastery, as the seat of the abbot and as a hostel for selected guests. The entire abbey only exists as a ruin. These are to the east of the exam area. The enclosing walls of the abbot's chapel, the east hall (prince's room) with thick quarry stone masonry and deep window niches as well as the two adjoining cellars vaulted with quarry stones have been preserved.
