The seven arched bridge was commissioned by Lord Leverhulme to mimic a bridge he'd seen in Africa. It gives access to the summer houses and terraced gardens above the main track.
You can walk across and under the bridge while exploring the gardens.

Really interesting bridge. The Seven Arched Bridge or African Bridge was specially commissioned by Leverhulme after a bridge he had seen while traveling in Africa and was positioned to provide access to the summer houses and routes up into the terraced gardens over the former Sandy Lane which is in a hollow below.
