The trio of reservoirs on the River Roddlesworth, surrounded by gorgeous woodland, make for a peaceful ramble at any time of year. There are numerous trails that explore the banks and the forest, ideal for an afternoon stroll. Dog-walkers are welcome, as long as you keep your hound on a lead.
Upper Roddlesworth is the highest of the three, with Lower Roddlesworth in the middle and Rake Brook Reservoir slightly lower still. They are connected to the reservoirs at Rivington by a canal called the Goit.

There are a couple of benches which are perfectly placed to spend some time to take in the scenery or to stop for lunch.
