The shepherd's gate is part of the battlements of the time. A piece of this corridor has been preserved next to the gate. A magnificent late Gothic stone from 1512 is attached to the outside of the shepherd's gate. A natural history exhibition has been set up in the rooms of the gate. Open from April to September on Sundays, 10.30 a.m. – 12.30 p.m. The Eifelhaus next to the Hirtentor is a half-timbered house from the 16th century.
