A nice little cave a bit behind the Düwelsteen. The detour is worth it!

At the inscription on the Eichendorff rock (Düwelsteen) there is a signpost to the Teufelshöhle or Düwelskall. This is a small, not very deep cave that is said to have also served as a hiding place during the war years.
An anecdote says that the gloomy name comes from the particularly difficult to work sandstone, which was mined here with devilish labor for the Cologne-Trier railway line.

A little off the Eifel Loop "Where Forests Rustle," we come across this small cave in the sandstone cliff. Definitely worth seeing.
