Illermündung in Donau

Here the Iller flows into the Danube. A nice place to stand on the shore for a moment and enjoy the spectacle. Sometimes a few canoeists come along to make things even more idyllic.

The more water-rich Iller flows into the Danube here. It is impressive to see when muddy water flows from the mountains along the Iller and mixes here. Bicolore Danube, a confluence, so to speak.

I have seen a lot of canoeists who drove from much faster flowing Iller into the Danube which flows rather quietly at least at this point

Here you can cool off wonderfully in the waters of the Iller and Danube.
If you are lucky you can watch unicorns swimming by.

In good weather, this place is ideal for a picnic at the Illerspitze!
However, please remember to clean up everything, it is a nature reserve.

Both rivers have different colors when they come together.

Mostly this section is in the shade of the trees.

The Iller cycle path has received several awards, v. A. for its low-traffic route guidance.

Unfortunately, the path has almost no rubbish bins. Otherwise very nice with a stroller

The end or the beginning of the Iller cycle path (depending on how you look at it). From here you can quickly reach the Allgäu on a busy cycling day.

Unspectacular. But it's just part of having ridden the entire Iller cycle path.

Accessible via small paths, ideal for taking a break
